ínterim (uma alegoria do tempo)
interim (an allegory of time)
when you photograph, whether analogically or digitally, there are time gaps between the moment the photograph is taken and the moment you see what has been done.
it can be shorter, as when you take a photograph and immediately check it on the screen at the back of the camera, or longer, as when you take a photograph on film and it takes 6 months to develop the film, for example.
but those temporal gaps are there. exist. and there is also the gap between memory and fact.
the project “interim (an allegory of time)” tries, through photography and its own mechanisms, its physics, its aesthetics, to visually imagine and play with these gaps, where between memory and fact, a “thing” that was no longer be that “thing” that it is, whether 1 second or a year after it was photographed.
the interest is linked to the concept observed by Duchamp of “inframinces”, intervals of time between one thing and another, very well summarized by Gloria Moure in this passage: “The infrathin is immense in its infinitesimal infinity, it overflows all realities, welcomes the energy of poetry, conjures and assists the random, gathers and separates all dualities.”

quando se fotografa, seja analógicamente ou digitalmente, existem lacunas
de tempo entre o momento que a fotografia é feita e o momento em que se
vê o que foi feito.
ela pode ser mais curta, como quando se faz um fotografia e imediata-
mente a verificamos na tela da parte de trás da camera ou mais longa,
como quando se faz uma fotografia em película e demoramos 6 meses pra
revelar o filme, por exemplo.
mas essas lacunas temporais estão ai. existem.
e ai existe também a lacuna entre lembrança e fato.
o projeto “ínterim (uma alegoria do tempo)” tenta, através da fotografia
e e de seus próprios mecanismos, sua física, sua estética, imaginar e jogar
visualmente com essas lacunas, onde entre lembrança e fato, uma “coisa”
que foi deixa de ser essa “coisa” que é, seja 1 segundo ou um ano depois
que foi fotografada.
o interesse vem atrelado ao conceito observado por Duchamp dos “infram-
inces”, intervalos de tempo entre uma coisa e outra, muito bem resumido
por Gloria Moure nessa passagem: “O inframince é imenso em sua ínfima
infinitude, transborda todas as realidades, acolhe a energia da poesia, con-
jura e assiste o aleatório, reune e separa todas as dualidades.”
